Commissioner Sahiwal holds anti-dengue review meeting

Dengue cannot be controlled without the cooperation and help of the public. Therefore, in order to participate in anti-dengue activities, citizens should be informed about the seriousness of this disease.

Cleanliness is part of our faith which can be adopted to control deadly diseases like dengue.

This was said by Commissioner Sahiwal Division Silwat Saeed in his office in the review meeting of ongoing activities in connection with Anti-Dengue Week in which Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, Deputy Commissioners Kamran Khan, Irfan Ali Kathia and Syed Asif Hussain Shah and other officers participated.

He also urged the participation of scholars, teachers and businessmen in the anti-dengue campaign so that the message of dengue prevention can be spread from door to door.

He said that the full cooperation of the public is very important for the success of public health activities, therefore success is not possible without involving them in these activities.

He further said that the purpose of celebrating Anti-Dengue Week is to create a feeling among the people that dengue control should be considered as a national and religious duty.

Commissioner Salut Saeed appealed to the people to fully follow all the dengue SOPs issued by the government.

He also urged all the government departments to fully cooperate with the health department in the anti-dengue campaign and ensure cleanliness of the roofs of their offices, government buildings and do not allow rain water to stand in order to control the breeding of dengue mosquitoes. .

He directed that special attention should be paid to the cleaning of graveyards, parks and open spaces.

It was informed in the meeting that 15 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported so far in Sahiwal division, while dengue larvae have been recovered from 74 places and 29 FIRs have also been filed for violations of dengue code of conduct.

Commissioner Salut Saeed emphasized on accurate reporting of anti-dengue activities, especially larvae detection, so that effective measures can be taken immediately.
