Lahore (Sahiwal News Live – April 18, 2021 – Arshad Butt) Violent clashes between protesters of the banned Tehreek-e-Libek Pakistan (TLP) and police have broken out at Chowk Yateem Khana on Multan Road in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, resulting in deaths and injuries. People on social media referring it as Saniha Lahore.
According to a police spokesman, the operation was being carried out for the recovery of five police personnel, including DSP Nawankot.
The banned TLP claimed that police conducted an operation at its base on Sunday morning in which two of its workers were killed and 15 others were injured.
A statement issued by Allama Shafiq Amini, leader of the banned Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan’s Central Council, said he would not bury his dead workers until “the French ambassador is expelled from the country.”

Hamid Mir exposed the police statement which it maintained for operation and said the TLP stormed at Police station first.
“This is a beared DSP Omar Farooq saying that in the morning there was an operation to open the road in front of Nawankot Lahore police station in which he was abducted and injured by the protesters. He was rescued by Qari Farooq Sahib. This would not have happened in Ramzan.”
Hamid Mir alsto said that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority banned coverage of TLP TV channels are not covering the operation against TLP in Lahore but all information and videos are available on social media so PEMRA ban is now useless media will lose its credibility.
Syed Talat Hussain tweeted: “Total media black out of a horrible day in Lhr with dead, injured, firing, teargassing, kidnapping of police officers taken to a mosque apparently. PM Imran continues to pretend that NOTHING is happening, leaving it all to be handled by Pindi/Abpara. The circus hs bcm deadly.”
He also said, “After extreme tension and bouts of deadly violence, Lhr situation shows signs of some calm. Both sides talking. Injured r being shifted to hospitals. 9 x policemen have been also shifted to hospital. Still explosive but quietening down a bit. PM Imran meanwhile is idling around.”
Message from Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, head of Sunni Tehreek from Karachi. The Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mr. Muneeb-ur-Rehman, will hold a press conference at 11 pm today.
On the other hand, Leader of a recently banned outfit Allamah Shafique Amini Qadri claimed that a statement of detained head of their party Hafiz Saad Rizvi aired by some TV channels is not true.
He said “talks” are going on. Let’s hope for a good result of talks between a banned outfit and Govt.
